As an active soloist and dedicated chamber musician he was recently chosen by a famous pianist, Sir Andr\u00e1s Schiff, to be one of three artists in his <em>Building Bridges<\/em> programme during the 2017-2018 season. Palojtay includes among his recent interpretation successes those related to important venues such as <em>Salle Cortot<\/em> in Paris, <em>Auditorio\u00a0Nacional\u00a0de M\u00fasica <\/em>in Madrid,<em> Carnegie\u2019s Weill Hall<\/em> in New York, <em>Herbst Theatre<\/em> in San Francisco, and <em>Teatro Verdi<\/em> in Trieste.\u00a0 He has played all around Spain and with most Hungarian symphony orchestras being fortunate to work with the conductors such as Christopher Hogwood, Oliver von Dohn\u00e1nyi, Gregory Vajda, Gerg\u0435ly Madaras, Andras Keller and Zsolt Hamar. He was born in Budapest in 1987 where he graduated in 2011 at the <em>Franz Liszt Academy of Music<\/em> in the class of Andr\u00e1s Kemenes. Palojtay also studied with P\u00e9ter Nagy and later on for two years in Salzburg. In 2014 he completed the prestigious <em>Konzertexamen<\/em> course at the <em>Musikhochschule Stuttgart<\/em> under the mentorship of Professor Kirill Gerstein. Palojtay\u2019s noble piano sound has been \u201cpolished\u201d at master classes he attended with prominent pianists such as Dmitrij Bashkirov, Ferenc Rados, Murray Perahia, and Sir Andr\u00e1s Schiff, with whom he has been extending his music horizons. As versatile artist he also studies composing and he crowned the success in that field by winning the <em>Improvisation Contest<\/em> <em>of the B\u00e9la Bart\u00f3k Conservatory<\/em>. He also plays in the keyboard section of the <em>Budapest Festival Orchestra<\/em>. Palojtay is also a successful chamber musician thanks also to his former professors G\u00e1bor Csalog, M\u00e1rta Guly\u00e1s, and Rita Wagner. He is a member of the <em>Ludium Ensemble<\/em>, which mainly promotes contemporary music pieces and he also participated in establishing of the <em>Classicus Ensemble<\/em> with which he performs at important music events in Hungary and USA. J\u00e1nos Palojtay was awarded the <em>Third Prize<\/em> at <em>27<sup>th<\/sup> Paloma O\u2019Shea International Piano Competition<\/em> in Santander, Spain (2012) and the <em>Second Prize<\/em> at the <em>1<sup>st<\/sup>\u00a0\u00a0 International Chopin Competition<\/em> in Budapest. He also received the <em>Gundel Art Prize<\/em> (2011), and the <em>B\u00edr\u00f3 S\u00e1ri Memorial Award<\/em>.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Zolt\u00e1n FEJ\u00c9RV\u00c1RI<\/strong> piano, Hungary &#8211; the recipient of a\u00a0Borletti-Buitoni Trust fellowship and winner of the second prize at the <em>James Mottram International<\/em>\u00a0Piano\u00a0<em>Competition in Manchester (2010), which has announced a rich performing career with its title, used to study in Milan for two years before that. He studied in the classes of Dmitri Bashkirov and Martinez Mehner and continued his studies at the Franz Liszt Academy in Budapest where he worked with Andras Kemenes, <\/em>D\u00e9nes V\u00e1rjon and Rita Wagner. Currently, Fej\u00e9rv\u00e1ri performs regularly at recitals at concert stages of many European countries and the USA, including <em>Carnegie\u2019s Weill Hall<\/em> in New York, <em>Kimmel Center<\/em> in Philadelphia, <em>Library of Congress<\/em> in Washington DC, <em>Gasteig<\/em> in Munich, <em>Palau de M\u00fasica<\/em> in Valencia, <em>Biblioteca Nacional de Buenos Aires<\/em> and <em>Franz Liszt Academy<\/em> in Budapest. he i salso a frequent soloist of the <em>Budapest Festival Orchestra<\/em>, <em>Hungarian National Orchestra<\/em>, as well as of the <em>Verbier Festival<\/em> and <em>Concerto Budapest<\/em> orchestras. Until now, he has co-operated with renowned conductors such as Iv\u00e1n Fischer, Zolt\u00e1n Kocsis, Ken-Ichiro Kobayashi, and G\u00e1bor Tak\u00e1cs-Nagy. As a passionate chamber musician Zolt\u00e1n Fej\u00e9rv\u00e1ri (who has been playing the piano since the age of eight) often performs with the <em>Keller <\/em>and <em>Kod\u00e1ly Quartets<\/em> and musicians such as Gary Hoffman, Joseph Lin, Cristoph Richter, Andr\u00e1s Keller, Radovan Vlatkovi\u0107, Ivan Monighetti, Frans Helmerson, and Steven Isserlis. He has been a participant in the <em>Chamber Music Connects the World<\/em> programme of the <em>Kronberg Academy<\/em> (whose students also perform at this year\u2019s <em>Nomus<\/em>) and of several similar projects, and at\u00a0 the invitation of the pianist Mitsuko Uchida, he was the guest of the <em>Marlboro Music Festival<\/em> (Vermont, New England) during the summers of 2014 through 2016. After the CD <em>Malediction<\/em> titled as the same named piece by Liszt, which he recorded with the <em>Budapest Chamber Symphony <\/em>and for which he received the <em>Grand prix du Disque<\/em> award in 2013, <em>Hungaroton<\/em> released his CD with four Mozart\u2019s violin sonatas\u00a0 recorded with the violinist Ern\u0151 K\u00e1llai the following year. For four years now Zolt\u00e1n Fej\u00e9rv\u00e1ri has been teaching\u00a0at the <em>Chamber Music Department<\/em> of the distinguished academy of music in Budapest that he himself graduated from, and the most direct invitation for the participation at <em>Nomus 2018<\/em> is his latest victory at the <em>Concours Musical International de\u00a0Montr\u00e9al<\/em> for piano in 2017 along which we could also mention the second prize he won in Spain at the \u00a0<em>International Piano\u00a0Competition<\/em>\u00a0<em>Ricard Vi\u00f1es<\/em> in Lleida (the birth place of Enric Granados) and the first place at the \u00a0<em>International Competition<\/em>\u00a0<em>for<\/em>\u00a0<em>Piano<\/em>\u00a0<em>and<\/em> <em>Orchestra<\/em> <em>Citta di<\/em>\u00a0<em>Cantu<\/em>.<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sir Andr\u00e1s Schiff presents Young Pianists Zolt\u00e1n FEJ\u00c9RV\u00c1RI, piano (Hungary) Programme: J.
